Ribbons and Alien Galaxies

These past few weeks I have been working hard to finish these two pieces of art work. They both turned out to look really good and I am proud of doing this for my project because it is very fun.
Here is my first one; take a good look at it.

This one is a picture of multiple colorful ribbons in swirling motions. This picture is made of elipses and spirals in a black background to make the colors stand out so bright, that it is almost as if the painting was alive! All of the  spirals touch the big center spiral. If you look in the center of the picture there is a black splat of paint. This creates an illusion to make it look as if the spirals were coming out of that hole.

Here is my second painting, and as you see it was very difficult to make. This piece took a lot of thinking and concentration to make. This piece is something that I don't know how to explain. I would think of this as three different alien galaxies, each with a sun shining through their lit up atmospheres. The middle one would be the dominant galaxy because it has the brightest sun and is light blue which shows goodness. The one on the left is an average galaxy with average technology and still some good people in it. The one in the right would be the evil galaxy because it has a red sun. Symbologically red is not a good sign and probably means something bad. This is my painting of the three alien galaxies deep in space
